Guilt Is a Control, Not a Verdict

A short one on faith, guilt, and the humility that comes free with it.

Listen0:00 / –:––

Read by an AI clone of my voice.

Part of this year was about my faith. Not converting to anything, really, I don’t think I ever actually put it down, I just finally stopped side-eyeing it. Accepting it settled something I didn’t know was unsettled.

It gave me a kind of morality I didn’t know I was missing, and a reason for things I didn’t know I needed a reason for.

The part I keep coming back to: guilt isn’t a problem. Guilt is a control, not a verdict on who you are. And the humility that shows up with it isn’t a tax either. Genuinely one of the more useful things I picked up this year, even if it took a while to stop treating it like a punishment.
